Introducing Burke Hammons Consulting

We are excited to announce the launch of Burke Hammons Consulting, a grants consulting firm serving nonprofit organizations and schools. Burke Hammons Consulting provides competitive proposal drafting for foundation, corporate, and government grants, grant readiness services, prospective funder research, and customizable assistance with the grant seeking process. We focus on the arts, education, disabilities, neighborhood revitalization, and special health care needs.

BHC is a boutique consultancy, intentionally working with a limited number of clients to provide high quality, individualized attention and service. We recognize that for many nonprofit organizations, grant seeking is a stressful, confusing, and time-consuming process — but it does not have to be. We love what we do and bring that joy to all of our clients and partners, adapting your stories to appeal to each funder we approach together.

In step with our grantseeking, we at BHC are passionate advocates for applying Community Centric Fundraising practices within the grants world. We chose this work to support organizations that make their communities more responsive and compassionate. We embrace asset-based understandings of our communities and the need to empower communities, organizations, and funders to work together to find solutions.

Our approach to grants involves breaking down the silos between nonprofit consultants with different areas of expertise. As expert grant professionals, we have a working knowledge of nonprofit accounting, strategic planning, evaluation, board development, organizational development, IT, data, marketing, branding, and more, but we also recognize that connecting with specialists in these areas will make your organization, and, by extension, your grants significantly stronger.

Burke Hammons Consulting is grateful to be part of a network of nonprofits, consultants, and funders working to make the world a better place. We look forward to integrating our grants expertise, learning from others, and working together to create lasting positive change in our communities.
